Workshop E2: Using Creativity to Support Girls of Color Who Externalize Behaviors

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

We seek to inspire direct staff, researchers, funders, and executive leaders to collaborate with mental health providers in using creativity and a strengths-based approach to address the behavioral health needs of girls of color. We seek for attendees to develop a working knowledge of the neuroscience of trauma responses; identify the benefits of using creativity to support girls of color in engaging in their mental health treatment; and open the conversation on how to collaborate with the various systems they encounter. We will deliver the workshop in a multimodal format using group discussions; providing hands on activities to support retention of knowledge; and use of a PowerPoint presentation.

STARS Credit offered for attendance at this session.
