School’s Out Washington’s Bridge Conference is taking place Oct. 24-25. You must be registered with School’s Out Washington in order to attend.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ THIS MESSAGE BEFORE YOU BEGIN:

How to Use Sched: Because this is an in-person Conference, each session is first-come, first-served. The majority of our sessions will range from 30-80 people. This online schedule is to help you think in advance about which sessions you are most interested in.

You may have used Sched via a personal log-in for past Conferences. Because this is an in-person Conference and sessions are first-come, first-served, there is no log-in for attendees.

We will also offer a printed program for all attendees at the Conference, which will include session titles, presenters, and locations.

Workshop G2: STEAM Learning in the Outdoors

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

In the heart of an urban city, on a neighborhood walk, visiting an orchard, or exploring a park -- when children are outdoors, they are surrounded by STEAM opportunities. In this session we reflect on the mindsets and skills that help you design rich learning experiences using whatever you have access to: plants, rocks, water, bugs, birds, sticks, and more! We focus on child-led learning, tribal curriculum, family partnerships, inclusion, and free or low-cost materials. This session will be especially relevant for those working directly with children ages 5 - 13 years old.

STARS Credit offered for attendance at this session.
