IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ THIS MESSAGE BEFORE YOU BEGIN:

How to Use Sched: Because this is an in-person Conference, each session is first-come, first-served. The majority of our sessions will range from 30-80 people. This online schedule is to help you think in advance about which sessions you are most interested in.

You may have used Sched via a personal log-in for past Conferences. Because this is an in-person Conference and sessions are first-come, first-served, there is no log-in for attendees.

We will also offer a printed program for all attendees at the Conference, which will include session titles, presenters, and locations.

Workshop C2 (3 hour): Neuroscience, Wellbeing and Social Justice, an exploration of our inner resources for collective resilience

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This is an invitation to all who are interested in being the change they want to see in the world.
Through experiential activities, individual reflection, small group sharing, and whole group process, this workshop will invite participants to:
- Explore and understand, in their own bodies, the wisdom of the nervous system explained by the polyvagal theory.
- Recognize in their own bodies, the state that allows the nervous system to connect, regenerate, and keep us mentally and physically healthy; as well as the signs the nervous system gives us, that allows us to map out our state when triggered.
- Reflect on the connection between social justice and wellbeing, based on their own experience of intersectional identities.
- Learn and experience different somatic practices that will help them integrate and process the learning.
- Reflect on the steps they would like to take towards cultivating their individual and collective wellbeing in the context of their own experience.

STARS Credit offered for attendance at this session.
